The Masai Bracelets are handmade by Masai women living in vulnerable social conditions in Kenya and Tanzania. They craft them using colorful beads and strong thread, recreating traditional adornments.

Each bracelet is unique, but they all share a common identifying element: an X enclosed in a diamond shape, symbolizing the lack of freedom experienced by African girls and women. With 10 colors and 4 sizes available, each bracelet becomes a symbol in the fight against violence and in support of girls’ rights.

They are handmade by Masai women living in vulnerable social conditions in Kenya and Tanzania. Each bracelet represents a commitment to ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Child Marriage—harmful practices that severely undermine their freedom and rights.

With every bracelet you purchase, you contribute to:

• Providing economic support to Masai women: the bracelets give them an income to sustain their families.
• Protecting Girls: they also help fund other projects aimed at preventing and fighting against FGM and Child Marriage.
• Promoting education and community development: part of the proceeds goes to education, health, and training projects within the communities.
• Raising awareness and visibility: by wearing your bracelet, you also help to shed light on extreme violence against girls and the importance of protecting their rights.

Each Masai Bracelet is completely original and unique. It’s very hard to find two that are exactly the same. You just have to choose the background color—your bracelet’s exact design will be one of a kind.

Here’s what each color means in Masai culture:

• Yellow: represents the sun, source of energy and life.

• Orange: a symbol of hospitality, a highly valued quality in Masai culture.

• Red: the blood of cows, representing bravery and unity.

• Blue: energy and vitality, associated with the sky and water.

• Green: symbolizes the earth and nature, reflecting growth, fertility, and connection with the environment.

• White: stands for peace, purity, and health.

• Black: represents Africa, the identity and pride of the Masai people, as well as unity and solidarity.

Each bracelet is unique and combines these colors in a special way, making it an accessory full of meaning and tradition. Which one will be yours?

Size guide (wrist diameter):

• XS: up to 14 cm

• S: 14.1 cm – 16.4 cm

• M: 16.5 cm – 18 cm

• L: 18.1 cm – 19 cm

Since they are handmade, measurements may vary slightly.

Important:

• The bracelets are not elastic and do not have a clasp.

• To put it on, wet your hand and the bracelet with soap, then slide it on gently but firmly. You can also use hand cream or moisturizer.

• It should fit snugly on the wrist; sometimes you may need to press a little, but don’t worry—they are very resistant.

How to measure your wrist:

1. Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist.

2. Mark the point where it overlaps.

3. Measure the length up to the mark and compare it with the size chart.

The bracelets are handled and shipped from the occupational workshops of Fundación A la Par, supporting people with disabilities and creating a circular effect of solidarity.

  • Canary and Balearic Islands → Certified mail (Correos)
